Privacy Policy

Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
LifestyleBathrooms.com.au connects homeowners, investors, and developers with licenced bathroom renovation specialists across Australia. We operate as a referral and connector service — not a licenced contractor — and this policy covers all personal information we collect through this website.
We’re required to comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what your rights are. Plain language throughout — no legal walls.
By using this website, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described here.
What Personal Information We Collect
There are two ways information ends up with us: you give it to us directly, or the website collects it automatically in the background.
When you fill out a quote request or enquiry form, we collect:
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Suburb or postcode
- Property type and renovation details
- Any additional notes you include in the message field
The website also collects technical data passively when you browse — your IP address, browser type, which pages you visited, how long you spent on them, and where you came from. This data is aggregated and not tied back to you personally in our reporting.
We don’t ask for sensitive information — health records, financial details, that sort of thing — and we don’t want it.
How We Collect It
Forms on this website are built with Fluent Forms. When you submit a quote request or contact form, that data is captured and stored via Fluent Forms’ database.
Analytics are handled by Google Analytics, which tracks site traffic and user behaviour in aggregated form. Google Tag Manager may also be in use to manage tracking scripts.
Cookies are set when you visit the site — more on those below.
If you email us directly, we’ll retain that correspondence. We don’t buy data from third-party brokers or marketing lists. We’re not interested in people who haven’t chosen to contact us.
Why We Collect It
Everything we collect is connected to one thing: helping you find a bathroom renovation specialist.
Your contact and project details are used to match your enquiry with relevant, licenced renovation specialists in your area and forward them your request so they can prepare a quote. Analytics data helps us understand how the site is performing and where we can improve it. We also retain information where we’re legally required to do so.
We don’t use your information to run advertising campaigns. We don’t build profiles on you. The information you give us goes toward connecting you with the right tradie — full stop.
How We Use and Disclose Your Information
When you submit an enquiry on this site, your details are passed to one or more licenced renovation specialists relevant to your location and project scope. That’s the core purpose of this platform, and it means your information does get shared with third parties — the specialists themselves.
We don’t sell your information. We don’t rent it. We don’t hand it to advertisers or data brokers.
The other parties who may have access to your data in the course of running this platform are our service providers — the businesses that handle hosting, email delivery, and CRM functions. They’re engaged to support operations, not to use your data for their own purposes. We require them to treat it appropriately.
Outside of the renovation specialists and these service providers, your information isn’t going anywhere.
Sharing Your Enquiry With Renovation Specialists
Important — please read this section.
LifestyleBathrooms.com.au is a referral and connector service. We are not a licenced contractor.
When you submit a quote request, we identify relevant specialists in your area and pass your enquiry details to them — your name, contact information, and renovation requirements — so they can reach out directly.
The specialists who receive your enquiry are independent licenced businesses. Once your information is in their hands, their own privacy policies apply to how they handle it from that point forward. We’d encourage you to ask any specialist who contacts you about their own privacy practices if that matters to you.
We only share your details with specialists relevant to your location and project. We don’t broadcast enquiries to every contractor on the platform.
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies. Most of them are there to make the site work properly or to help us understand how it’s being used.
- Session cookies — temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser, used to maintain basic site functionality
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to track page visits, traffic sources, and user behaviour in aggregate
- Tag Manager cookies — Google Tag Manager may set cookies as part of managing scripts on the site
Analytics data is aggregated. We look at trends, not individuals. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy terms.
If you’d prefer not to be tracked, you can disable cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Some parts of the site may not work as expected if cookies are disabled.
Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored on secure servers. Depending on the tools in use, some data may be stored on servers located outside Australia — including in the United States. Where overseas storage applies, we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers handle your data to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, misuse, loss, or disclosure. This includes access controls, encrypted connections, and working with reputable service providers.
We keep your information for as long as it’s needed to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law. When it’s no longer needed, it gets deleted or de-identified.
No data transmission over the internet is completely secure. We do our best, but we can’t guarantee absolute security — and anyone who tells you otherwise is overstating it.
Accessing and Correcting Your Information
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct anything that’s inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete.
Send your request to the contact details at the end of this policy. We’ll respond within 30 days. There are limited circumstances where we might need to decline — for example, where granting access would be unlawful or could affect the privacy of someone else. If that’s the case, we’ll tell you why.
Corrections are handled without unnecessary delay. If we disagree that a correction is warranted, we’ll explain our position and note your request on the record.
Privacy Complaints
If you think we’ve mishandled your personal information, we want to hear about it.
Contact us first using the details below. We’ll acknowledge your complaint and respond within 30 days. We take complaints seriously and will investigate properly rather than send a form letter.
If you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled your complaint, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
- Website: www.oaic.gov.au
- Phone: 1300 363 992
- Post: GPO Box 5218, Sydney NSW 2001
The OAIC can investigate complaints about potential breaches of the Australian Privacy Principles and take action if necessary.
Changes to This Policy
We’ll update this policy when our practices change or when we’re required to by law. The current version is always at this URL.
When we make changes, we’ll update the ‘Last updated’ date at the top of the page. Material changes will be noted clearly. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
We’re not going to quietly rewrite things and hope nobody notices. If something significant changes in how we handle your data, it’ll be obvious.
